Wow, you take one long weekend
And your routine goes all to pot. At least I managed to get a run in, although I haven’t been to the gym in about a week – that’s going to hurt!
Sherry and I are hosting the next Dinner Club here this weekend and it’ll be Italian themed food and the dress code is Italian Mafia (ooooh).
We learned how to make home made Tiramisu for this meal and we’ll be serving marinated chicken with artichoke hearts and gnocchi. The whole thing will be bathed in a garlic infused oil with basil and parsley.
Mmmm.
Anyway, it was a pretty busy weekend for us – we had our Victoria Day weekend this past Monday and it was a nice break.
Sherry worked part of the Monday to make a little extra money for us to take on vacation with us. We’re headed to Vegas for a long weekend shortly – we’ll be going with a couple of other couples and we’re really looking forward to it.
I picked up an iPod Touch recently. It’s seriously cool, but there’s trouble in paradise – if you try to sync anything that’s large (like a TV show from iTunes) then it Time’s Out on you. Bummer. If you try several times to sync then it works fine. Hmmm. I’ll call Tech Support and see what they say.
I got that huge transfer job – the guy has two and a half hours of 8mm film to transfer – it’ll likely take two or three weeks to get the job done and just before I start the very first reel the machine starts acting up.
It was really frustrating.
I’ll try again tonight – hopefully it was just because I was tired.
I’m thankful that Sherry is such a talented cook
I’m thankful that we can afford to host elegant parties
I’m thankful that our friends are so comfortable at our place
I know that God wants me to enjoy life – why else would He have created tastebuds?
